SAFE-HIP
Sonographic Augmented First-line Examination of the HIP (SAFE-HIP)
Effective screening and early treatment of developmental dysplasia of the hip can almost eradicate the disease in early childhood. However, the danish screening is insensitive. SAFE-HIP evaluates augmentation of the danish hip dysplasia screening with a point-of-care ultrasound measurement of pubo-femoral distance performed by midwifes.
