Hans-Christen Husum
I became a medical doctor in 2017, having already been involved in research on hip dysplasia and novel screening methods prior to graduating. In the following years, I completed my medical training and pursued specialization in orthopaedic surgery, during which I obtained my PhD and completed a postdoctoral fellowship in orthopaedics. In January 2025, I began training in radiology, continuing to focus on musculoskeletal research through interdisciplinary collaborations with orthopaedic surgeons, engineers, pediatricians, and midwives.
My research spans a broad spectrum, including the use of artificial intelligence in ultrasound imaging, reliability analyses, machine learning, and large-scale registry data. It ranges from classic epidemiological studies on fracture incidence and screening effectiveness to advanced AI-based image analysis and automated outcome extraction.
