Ole Rahbek
In Children’s Orthopedics, our goal is to improve quality of life for children with congenital or acquired musculoskeletal conditions through exercises, bracing, or surgery. My research focuses on critically evaluating current treatments and developing new approaches, including the use of wearables as objective biomarkers and point-of-care hip screening.
I began my career in Children’s Orthopedics at Aarhus University Hospital in 2009, followed by a clinical fellowship at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children (GOSH) and the Royal London Hospital. I have since held leadership roles in Aarhus and Aalborg, and I am now Chair Professor of Orthopaedics at Aarhus University Hospital.
Current research areas include limb deformity correction, guided growth, hip preservation in adolescents, improved screening strategies for developmental dysplasia of the hip (DDH), and the integration of wearable technologies into orthopedic care.
