I am a Professor of Midwifery Science and Prevention at Aarhus University and Aarhus University Hospital, with a strong commitment to improving pregnancy, childbirth, and maternity care. My work focuses on bridging research, education, and clinical practice to strengthen evidence-based care and create better experiences and outcomes for women and families. I am passionate about user involvement, prevention, and developing the competencies of healthcare professionals. Through my research and leadership, I strive to advance patient-centred maternity services and contribute to meaningful change in women’s and children’s health.

In my ongoing collaboration with the Interdisciplinary Orthopaedics research group we are focusing on improving the Danish screening of developmental dysplasia of the hip in the maternity wards through the SAFE-HIP project.
