New publication out now!
“The Patient Continuity of Care Questionnaire: Translation and cultural adaptation to a Danish context” was just published in International Journal of Orthopaedic and Trauma Nursing.
Research has demonstrated strong associations between continuity of care and higher quality of care. Continuity during hospital discharge has been linked to reduced hospital readmissions, improved patient and provider satisfaction and lower healthcare costs.
In short, continuity of care matters in all healthcare settings, and especially during the transition from hospital to home.
In this study, we translated and culturally adapted the Patient Continuity of Care Questionnaire (PCCQ) to a Danish orthopaedic context, and we are now one step closer to a full psychometric evaluation of the Danish version of the questionnaire.
The PCCQ is highly relevant for those who wish to investigate and improve continuity of care during hospital discharge.
