Rikke Emilie Kildahl Lauritsen

My field of interest is to make health and wellbeing equally accessible for everyone, and especially how technology can support that. With my background in physiotherapy and clinical science and technology I have the right skillset to contribute to that. I particularly like working with development projects with a user centered approach, and have previously worked with developing an app for patients undergoing hip and knee surgery, and with communication between patients and healthcare professionals in complicated orthopedic care pathways.

I am currently working on Share It Project where we are developing and testing a tool for shared digital communication between caregivers of children with physical disabilities and all the professionals across health, social and school systems, that are involved in the child’s treatment. The aim of the project is to reduce the burden on caregivers caused by a lack of communication and coherence across sectors. The project has a user centered approach with the involvement of caregivers and professionals across sectors as well as other stakeholders, to ensure long-term integration.
