Pernille Damborg Clasen

My primary interest in orthopaedics is to ensure that patients receive the best possible treatment through evidence-based and innovative approaches. I graduated as a nurse in 2017 and began my career in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, later joining the department’s research unit in 2023 as a research nurse.

In September 2025, I began my Master’s in Digital Health at Aalborg University, enhancing my ability to integrate data-driven and digital solutions into clinical research and patient pathways. My current work focuses on technology-supported approaches, including digital monitoring with IMU activity sensors, asynchronous digital communication pathways, and thermography for early detection of inflammation, all aimed at advancing orthopaedic care.
