๐ Physical activity adds another piece to the recovery picture!
We followed patients undergoing knee replacement using wearable activity sensors before surgery and for three months afterward. Patients who were more active before surgery generally showed more favorable objective recovery, including faster gains in overall movement intensity and total steps during the first postoperative month.
This study highlight the potential of wearable sensors to help us understand how recovery unfolds in patientsโ everyday lives, not only during clinic visits.
