John Rasmussen

I have worked with biomechanic modelling for more than three decades. 

These models have become quite sophisticated and contain elements of shape (for instance bones), of movement describing different tasks that humans do in their daily lives, forces, moments, work, and energy. In other words, the models describe the physics that govern the living body.

My vision is to use these models in digital twins representing living humans. Such a technology has the potential to completely change the way healthcare is produced and delivered. It will become timely, individualized and coordinated, and it will empower shared decision making between the individuals and healthcare professionals.
